“Food is our common ground, a universal experience”

– James Beard

I consider myself supremely blessed to have grown up in a household where both of my parents never shied away from cooking as well as enjoying the diverse, mouth-watering cuisine the world has to offer.

As a child, the kitchen and the dining room were the places where my family spent most of our treasured quality time.

With all that time spent around food, it’s safe to say that they have generously passed down their love and fond appreciation of food to my siblings and I. Fast forward to today, it comes as no surprise that there are very few things I am passionate about as I am when it comes to food.

They say there are two kinds of people in this world: those who eat to live and those who live to eat.

A self-professed foodie, I would definitely fall under the latter category. I wholeheartedly believe that food has the power to transcend barriers between people and that the best connections are often made while we are “breaking bread”.

No matter where you are from, if you consider yourself a food lover, this oh-so-decadent post was lovingly made for and dedicated to you because as the great Julia Child said “People who love to eat are always the best people”. Enjoy! 🙂
