“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

With (American) Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s time to “resurrect” this “Thank You”! playlist

Though Thanksgiving is  renowned for being the ultimate day of gratitude,  I thoroughly believe that an all year round practice of gratitude for all of life’s blessings is essential in creating a happy and fulfilled life.

We may not always acknowledge it, but all experiences – whether we decide to label it as “good” or “bad” happen FOR us rather than TO us.

Both good and bad experiences we have faced in the past or may be currently facing, have plenty to teach us if we remain open to the lessons to be learned from it all.

It’s my intention that these “Thank You” songs will help to make this year’s Thanksgiving an extra special one for you and your loved ones.

Most importantly, I hope that they’ll inspire you to have a regular reflection on all the things and people you are thankful for. May your expression of gratitude attracts even more abundance to your life!

Thank You – Jamelia

Though we generally tend to express gratitude for the wonderful people in our lives, this song illustrates that it’s just as important to express our gratitude to those who are no longer (present) in our lives.

While we may associate some people with not so pleasant feelings or experiences, it’s important to keep in mind to acknowledge that they were there to serve some sort of purpose, teach you life lessons, and/or help you grow and become the strong person you are today.

It’s also serves a bittersweet reminder that when we know better, we do better.

“Yeah, you taught me some lessons. Those are my blessings.
That won’t happen again. Thank you… “

They say the greatest gift of all is to love and to be loved in return. Hence, should we are fortunate enough to have a true love(s) in our lives, we must do our best to never take the love for granted and to let them know how much we appreciate them.

If you happen to be in the look out for a song to express just how much your significant other mean to you, this classic powerhouse ballad may just do the trick!
